How does the affiliate program work at Practical DevSecOps?

You, as an Affiliate (are expected to drive traffic to our website through social media sites like LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Quora, or any other social media sites. 

If one of these users purchase one of our courses on our website (without clicking someone else’s link), you get at least a percentage for that sale. We sell two online courses, DevSecOps Professional(799 USD), DevSecOps Expert (1199 USD) courses via our website. 

For example, our DevSecOps Professional course costs 899 USD. If a user clicks on your affiliate link and makes a purchase, you get a 10% commission on the sale, i.e., 79.9 USD for each purchase. Even future payments are also included (for up to six months). For example, if the same user signs up for the DevSecOps Expert course after he finishes our professional course, you will get 119.9 USD as commission.

Answer questions on popular DevSecOps online forums and groups such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Reddit, Quora, and Facebook on the topics such as DevSecOps, Product Security, Secure SDLC, Application Security & Security as Code. How do you link a user’s purchase to me?

Once you sign up (details below) for the affiliate program, you will get an affiliate code, e.g., 318971_kfhw7sss. You must add this code to the URL you share with the social media audience. When a user clicks your link, he/she lands on our page, and we use your affiliate code to link the user to you. 

How long is your cookie life?

Your affiliate code is stored in the user’s session(cookie) for six months from their first visit. Even if a user doesn’t make a purchase right away but comes back after a month or two (up to 6 months), we would still attribute that purchase to you. Even future purchases are always linked to you.

How is payment handled?

Once we add you to our affiliate portal, you can configure your payment options in the affiliate portal. We make payments on the 1st of every month via PayPal, so you would need to configure your PayPal account in the portal. 

How do I get started?

Visit our affiliate page at practical-devsecops.com/affiliate-program and fill your details, including your social media details like LinkedIn, Twitter, etc., 

Once our team reviews and approves your affiliate request, we will add you to our affiliate portal. This portal provides more information, including the specifics of our affiliate program.

What happens after I create an account?

Once approved, we will add you as an affiliate in our Affiliate portal, which also contains a Dashboard where you can monitor your sales and commissions.

The dashboard provides details about your

1. Affiliate code
2. Monthly earnings/sales
3. Payout status 
4. Commission rate.
