Function: Software Engineering → Full-Stack Development
We are looking for a full-stack(Django/Python) Software Engineer to be a part of a team working together in a virtual/remote environment. You’ll work with our remote team to build great products that delight our customers.
Requirements:
- You have 2+ years of experience in a software engineering role, either as a Back-End engineer or a FullStack with an emphasis on Python/Django/Flask.
- You have excellent communication skills. Most of the communication will be via email or Zoom/Meet, so you will need to convey your ideas clearly and concisely.
- You have a passion for solving complex problems at scale.
- You’re a critical thinker and can work independently with minimal oversight and directions.
- You have the personal commitment required to be highly productive while working remotely.
You’re great at:
- One popular Python framework, like Django, Flask.
- JavaScript and UI development frameworks like jQuery/Bootstrap/VueJS or React.
- Working with both relational databases like MySQL/Postgres and have an understanding of caching technology like Redis, Memcached.
- Basic understanding of Containers(Docker), Unix/Linux Environments, and CI/CD like Gitlab CI or Travis CI.
- Collaborating with engineers and product managers to build web app components.
- Applying appropriate software design patterns for a given problem.
- Maintaining automated tests and ensuring quality in your code.
- Using Git and GitHub to manage multiple branches and fix merge conflicts.
- Bonus points if you have open source contributions or personal projects you’ve shipped successfully.
